Confirmation is an opportunity for youth to confirm the faith they have been given in their baptism. When a person is baptized, our heavenly Father forgives their sins, rescues them from death and the devil, gives His Holy Spirit to be present in their lives, and gives them the gift of eternal life. Confirmation is the opportunity for that person to publicly acknowledge God’s gifts and commit their lives into His hands (Matthew 10:32). We believe this is best done in conjunction with teaching the faith at home. In preparation for Confirmation, students and their parents are taught the truths and habits of the Christian faith through regular Sunday meetings and retreats. Upon completing Confirmation instruction, students will publicly profess their faith in Jesus and confirm their baptisms before the congregation in a commitment to this church community. Learn more about Confirmation here.
Young adults are busy with college, jobs, and, with whatever time there is left, a social life. Our young adults meet in the midst of busy schedules to study Scripture and hang out with each other. Please join the young adult Life Group which meets at St. Luke's on Thursdays at 7pm.
