    What are the things about others that irritate or annoy you? How do you deal with these annoyances?

     


    What is the relationship between ourselves and others as we talk about unity and life together?

    What does it mean to see people in the light of the cross? How does this make a difference in life together?

    Ephesians 2:14-16

     


    Re-read Ephesians 2:14-16. What hostilities (challenges/difficulties) prevent us today as followers of Christ from extending God’s peace to people?

     


    Read Colossians 3:12-17. How do we let Christ’s peace rule and dwell within us?

     


    How does this affect how we interact with one another as part of the body of Christ?

     


    Read John 15:1-5. What is the relationship between each believer and Christ?

     


    What is the relationship between the community of believers and Christ? Between believers?

     


    What is the fruit we produce in Christ? In what way is abiding in Christ individual? In what ways is it in community?

     


    Read Romans 12:9-21. How are our interactions with those outside of the body of believers shaped by Christ? How does this affect our ministry with those in the community?

     


    In these passages, reflect on Jesus’ grace and love to us and to those who are also God’s by His mercy and how, by His mercy, we live in the community of believers.
