Local Missions

Our Local Missions is focused on serving the neighborhood and community we reside in. Over the years, we have partnered with a variety of local organizations, including Reach Out: Federal Way, Federal Way Young Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Seattle Union Gospel Mission. Two of our constant partners are Mirror Lake Elementary School, and Operation Blessing. Read more about them below and consider joining us in serving the greater Federal Way community.

St Luke’s has an ongoing partnership with Mirror Lake Elementary School. A high percentage of the families live at or below the poverty level for King County. We support the school through our annual Back to School Bash where school supplies are handed out, our annual Giving Tree, assistance with school uniforms, mentoring, BAG (Bridging A Gap) Weekend Feeding Program and our annual Family Christmas event. You can find details about these events in the calendar.

Operation Blessing serves residents of the Federal Way School District by assisting with financial support for mortgage, rent, utilities, gasoline and other miscellaneous areas. Operation Blessing is fully funded by St Luke’s members.

Assistance with rent or utilities may be received once every two years & twice in a lifetime. Those seeking assistance need to come in person. Operation Blessing is open Tuesdays mornings 9 – 10 am. We recommend clients arrive at 8:30 am when the doors open because a line forms and space is limited.  Persons should bring the bill they want assistance with, a valid photo ID, & their Social Security number.
